After researching into various different genres we have decided to produce a Coming-Of-Age film entwined with aspects of Romance and Drama.

We feel that this particular genre will be exciting to construct and enable us to produce a captivating storyline. We previously created a thriller opening sequence and so we aspire to show our capability by interpreting a completely opposing genre. We believe that this allows us to use our skills creatively and is a very realistic approach.

Welcome to our blog!

As part of our AS Media Studies course, we have been given the task of planning and producing the opening of a new fiction film.

This project will involve:
- Choosing a specific genre
- Researching into aspects such as the history, key conventions and iconic directors
- Analysing existing products already on the market
- Creating an interesting storyline for our film
- Filming appropriate footage
- Editing together a final construction
- Adding titles and a company ident

Throughout the duration of this project we will record each step of our journey onto this blog. The stages will reveal the progress from planning to creation and hopefully be evidence of the hard work we plan to put into each aspect.
